Turkish fan who formed 'barricades' for JYJ Kim Jaejoong's safety have garnered attention.

On Feb 8, a Turkish TV news video, which reported on Jaejoong's arrival in Turkey, was uploaded on a video website. In the video, he arrived in Turkey through the airport and was seen meeting and wiving to fans who were there.

In particular, Kim Jaejoong's popularity could be felt through the look of fans who waved Korean placard and the Korean flag passionately to welcome him for his visit to Turkey. Also, images of orderly fans who kept their distance autonomously for his safety caught attention.

Kim Jaejoong held a solo fan meeting in Ankara University's hall through an invitation by the Turkey Korean Cultural Center on Feb 5. The fan meeting was the first for a Korean singer ant the tickets were sold out in 30 minutes. More than 2000 application for the tickets were received, confirming Jaejoong's hot popularity in Turkey.

Meanwhile, the fan meeting was not only event that he attended. He also participated in a discussion with the young Turkish people in Ankara University, together with President Lee Myung Bak who was on a visit to four Middle east countries. At night, he attended a state banquet at the Presidential Palace in Turkey, confirming his high popularity.

JYJ’s Jaejoong Receives A Special Thanks From ‘Foreign Affairs and Trade’ Minister

JYJ members Jaejoong received a special thank you from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Kim Sung Hwan.

Minister Kim wrote via his twitter page on February 7th, "We had an opportunity for the Ankara University students to speak with Korean president Lee Myung Bak who is visiting Turkey, and JYJ's Jaejoong who currently serving as an honorary ambassador gor Korea's Nuclear Security Summit was with us for a brief while. Thanks you so much." 

"Kim Jaejoong told us that he was in Turkey to participate in an autograph singing event," he continued.

Ahead of this post, Minister Kim also wrote on Februaru 3rd, "I would like to thanks the three members of JYJ who have agreed to serve as honorary ambassador for Korea's Nuclear Security Summit."

Jaejoong was invited by the Korean Embassy in Ankara to hold a fan meeting and greet for 600 fans at the Ankara University in Turkey. On February 6th, he was also invited to dinner at the Presidential Palace in Turkey along with South Korea's president Lee Myung Bak and the president's wife.
